Description: “Beboponga” is the second CD from the Federico Lechner Tango&Jazz Trío, a group that was formed around 2003 with the idea of combining jazz music and tango by means of using jazz “standards”, songs of the classical tango repertoire and new original compositions with the feeling and groove of this new tango/jazz fusion. The trio has a long history of live gigs in festivals, clubs and theaters throughout all of Spain, Argentina, and Benelux. In 2009, they will begin a tour in the US. The group was also the principal artist on two national televison programs in Spain: “Fusión Sonora” from Telecinco and “Noites de Jazz” from TVG. From Cornelia Street Cafe’s web-site.
